With a background in Adult Learning & Development, Instructional Design, and Artistic/Educational content development, I apply performance, educational principles, and project management skills to create impactful didactic resources and engaging lesson plans. Proficient in ADDIE, SAM, and Backward design principles, I develop visually engaging e-learning modules virtual instructor-led training (VILT) programs and In-Person Adult Learning programs.
My expertise also includes leadership programming for youth in the arts, advocating for arts service organizations, and emphasizing their vital role in fostering community and lifelong learning. Passionate about demonstrating diverse leadership models outside traditional corporate settings, I am committed to advancing Canadian arts by developing platforms to showcase Canadian talent both locally and globally. Maurena is such a beautiful combination of an innately talented person coupled with ever-present curiosity to know more. She is the very example of a life-long learner.
